A why whose purpose is centred on lifting others will always remain contagious. Each story will keep the ball in motion for more stories to emerge
In Jinja, it has been all about a rural mom and her child. 7 years ago, it all started with Hadijjah, Jane, Monic and the rest of the 9 (Nine) extremely vulnerable moms who could hardly find anything to keep their children going. After an intervention plan of getting them the skillset they needed, a clear pathway was made after accessing a micro-loan from a Learning Group. The story triggered as they now stand out as change agents with all the confidence to encourage more other struggling moms as each on heads averagely 4 Learning Groups with 25-30 rural people where 90% are women
But with confidence to growing small enterprises to sustain themselves and their children does not fully out the fact they can stand on ground to fully support their children through the journey to a bright future through education. This is the ground that birthed the Rural Child Education Support Program with an intent of raising rural children out of extreme poverty so they can tap into opportunities that will enable them achieve their dreams through education and the chain continues as transformed rural people transform communities
Baraka and Patricia are no our two beneficiaries on this program through our partners at Every Village Matters a foundation that believes in seeing rural children achieve their dreams through education. Baraka is the 5th child to a teenage mom whose father has never been seen. Baraka’s dream is to be a teacher who will help out other rural children once he accomplishes his school while Patricia emerges out as the 7th child and the first on to achieve an opportunity of being in school and her dream is to be a doctor who will treat other vulnerable children who can not afford medication
More children like Baraka and Patricia remains on the increase in Jinja rural communities and if no step is taken, their future will remain uncertain and yet we can all bear witness how education is the key for rural communities like Jinja in presenting opportunities to such children in standing out as agents of change for transformation
Would you love seeing more rural moms, Baraka and Patricias make it in life? It’s very easy. Join us on the journey to raising one child at a time from excessive vulnerability to thriving and become a partner today to a cause that resonates most or refer a friend in joining the number one group of humans on the raise to making a difference and remember, the chain only continues when transformed people join forces to transform communities
